School staff have been busy all summer getting the school ready to welcome students on August 26th. The custodial staff has prepared the building. Getting Ready for the First Day of School

School Hours are 7:30 to 2:00

We recommend that students arrive around 7:15 to get to their first-period class on time!

All students must enter the building through the main entrance (near the flagpoles).

We are excited to welcome students back to school on Wednesday, August 26th. There is no required "supply list" at the high school. Instead, students are asked to come to school with their Chromebook charged and with some new pens and pencils. In the first week of school, teachers will let the students know if they need a specific kind of notebook or binder.

Important Reminders

We have some important changes this year! Specifically, we have a new student information system. Our new system is Infinite Campus. Please check your email for important information about how to create a parent account.

Students will be able to view their schedules on August 18th in the afternoon. Students will get an email from our IT department explaining how to log on to Infinite Campus, and they will be able to view their schedules.

Introducing BHS Dean of Students

BHS is happy to welcome Mr. Chad Lamoureux, our new Dean of Students. Mr. Lamoureux will be working closely with students, teachers, and families. He has worked for many years in both Cumberland, RI, and Woonsocket, RI.

Mr. Lamoureux will be a visible presence in the hallways, classrooms, and cafeteria. His responsibilities include:
  • Providing supervision of students throughout the school day and after school, including hallways, cafeteria, and other common areas.
  • Promoting a positive school culture grounded in positive reinforcement and relationship-based practices where students feel connected and motivated to attend school daily
  • Supporting students’ development of self-regulation and problem-solving skills

Student Drop Off and Pick up

Student Drop-Off AM: Turn into the first parking lot and follow the signs for student drop-off. Drive around the back of the building and drop your child off at the side of the building near the gym. Do not pull into parking spots to drop off your child, and please do not drive through the staff parking aisle to exit the parking lot. When families park and drop off in the staff parking lot, this causes traffic to back up onto Blackstone Street.

Student Pick-Up PM: Follow the same route as the morning. Please do not pick up students in the "Student Lot." This causes congestion and makes it difficult for the buses to leave the high school.

Thank you for your cooperation.
